This website is a FREE interactive cross sectional anatomy teaching resource.
Use it to test yourself and learn cross sectional anatomy. We have developed a Java based image viewer which allows you to view images in a similar format to using a PACS workstation.
Using this website

You will need to have the latest version of java installed on your PC to use our viewer. If you are unsure what you have installed go to the link below to check and install if necessary. http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp Other Requirements

Quick Guide

- Grab the button with a left mouse click and hold it down. Move the mouse
forwards and backwards to scroll through the scan. Alternatively you can scroll through
the images using a mouse wheel.
- To display coloured anatomy layers put a tick in the box.
- To see all available anatomy layers scroll through them using this scroll
bar.
- Change the brightness and contrast by clicking on this button. Hold down the
left mouse button and move the mouse while over the image to dynamically change the
levels.
- Zoom in on the image by clicking this button. Then hold down the left mouse
button and move the mouse forwards and backwards while over the image to dynamically
zoom.
- With the image zoomed up left click this button. Hold the left mouse button down and move the mouse while over the image to pan around the image.

IMPORTANT
Please be patient with the software when it first loads. It may take up to a minute before you are able to view all the images as your computer needs download our applet and the images.
You can start scrolling through the images as soon as they become visible while the viewer continues downloading. The viewer will inform you how it is progressing with downloading the images at the top of the screen.
If the viewer does not display properly or does not fit on your screen first click here to check you have the latest version of java. Then try the alternative layouts by clicking the links v1 or v2 near the top right of the browser window. The default layout is v0.
